This plenary lecture, by Professor Michael Keating (University of Aberdeen), is being delivered as the finale to a half day conference, organised by the TCD Centre for Irish-Scottish and Comparative Studies, entitled: Scotland’s Past and Futures: Exploring the Bigger Picture, which is being held in the TCD Long Room Hub and in association with the Royal Irish Academy.

 

Professor Michael Keating is Professor of Politics at the University of Aberdeen and is the author of over thirty books on Scottish Politics, European Politics, Nationalism and Regionalism. He is a fellow of the British Academy and the Royal Society of Edinburgh and has recently completed a large project ‘Rescaling Europe’ and is currently working on the issue of Scottish independence. He has also been working to improve the interface between academics and practitioners in the field of public policy in Scotland. His two most recent books are ‘The Independence of Scotland’ (2009), and ‘Rescaling the European State’ (2013).

 

Reserving a free place for the plenary lecture also guarantees entry to the conference in TCD.
