The Society for Musicology in Ireland Harrison Lecture will be given by Professor Susan Youens, J.W. Van Gorkom Professor of Music, University of Notre Dame. The formal presentation of the Harrison Lecture by Lorraine Byrne Bodley MRIA , President of SMI, followed by Professor Youens’s lecture “Reentering Mozart's Hell: Schubert and 'Gruppe aus dem Tartarus’” will take place on Wednesday evening, 23 November 2016, in the Organ Room of the Royal Irish Academy of Music in Dublin. Reception at 6pm, followed by Harrison lecture at 6.45pm. All welcome.
