The Trinity Long Room Hub (TLRH), in conjunction with the Centre for War Studies and the Centre for European Studies, is holding a three year cycle of public lectures on “Europe’s Violent Memories: War, Trauma and Identity in the Twentieth Century” between 2013 and 2016.
The lectures are delivered by internationally renowned scholars, with the first year focusing on the First World War and the second year focusing on the Second World War and Cold War. The third year (2015-16) will address the revolutionary decade in Ireland (1912-23) in an international comparative perspective, including its repercussions across the following century.
